Our Vision
Born in February 2025 from a simple idea: to rethink the traditional salon and barbershop experience.
We felt the traditional experience had become rushed and transactional, with little room to slow down or enjoy the time you spend there.
We wanted to create a true third space—a place between home and work where time is valued, craft comes first, and people feel welcome to stay a little longer. Every appointment is approached with care and intention, not just in the haircut, but in the experience as a whole. The introduction of coffee is a natural expression of this philosophy, extending the experience beyond the salon chair and creating a place where all can gather without expectation or hurry.

In November 2025, we opened in a bigger space with bigger plans to extend our arms of hospitality into specialty coffee.
COMMON by Hour is the natural extension of our philosophy, reflecting the idea of a shared space—a common ground where people can pause, connect and feel a sense of belonging, not only as a client but friends, neighbours and visitors alike.
Coffee, much like hair, is a craft built on skill, consistency and hospitality. It reflects the same values that define Hour: attention to detail, quality and genuine care for the people we serve. In a city where so much feels rushed or transactional, Common celebrates the things we all share: time, conversation, craftsmanship and community.
